Mission

Providing professional and

enabling management to

extraordinarily talented and

motivated musicians

from the Northern parts of Europe

who write and play their songs

from the heart.

Strategy

Establishing a network of music professionals who share our view on music and our mission.

Actively involve all contracted musicians in our activities.

Scouting and contracting only extraordinary talented musicians.

@Providing MEANS: providing.
Not sucking the blood out of the vains of our musicians: no choking contracts, but 100% involvement. The only way this label is going to work is by working with motivated musicians.

@Professional: The music business is a harsh business, but good music WITH good management has a good chance of paying off!

@write: The simplest way of putting this is: We don't "do" coverbands.
Except when you are able to express your talent in the covered songs and give it a value adding twist like Joe Cocker, UB40 or The Byrds could, we might think it over...

@Actively involve all contracted musicians in our activities.
We don't want to have an expensive overhead, so we ask involvement in the label from all who are able and willing. Thus providing all musicians experience in some part of the business.

J.J. de Jong (Johan for insiders) has a record of writing, singing and playing guitar in a band for 8 years.
He stopped with this activities due to his likeness for doing business and because he never could see a future in Rock 'n Roll which means: enough to earn a decent living. So after struggling for years with his band (Stonewater... well you know the name, don't you...NOT) he finally tossed the towel and took up a regular job.
After learning more and more about how business works (and coming across some extraordinarily talented musicians!) he now began to wonder how he could enable these musicians to not quit what they were doing (as he did) but to move on in a professional way...

The only thing that came to mind was to found heartlabel.com.
